Turning Away

I'm empty, and nothing made by human hands can fill me.
I may sound strange, or mad, or insane. _{as a matter of fact I'm all three.}
I know I'm different, not like the others. I know I'm not normal.
Otherwise, how could I feel so hollow?

There is a spot in the center of my chest where I can feel it the most.
Look inside- can you feel it too?
Everyone has something they think will fill it.
But guess what. . . _{it never does.}

So we go along searching all along for the thing we need most,
A thing that can't be found. _{because we're looking in all the wrong places.}
We look in love and in hate in our jobs and our friends,
We look in the now and the how and the when- but that's all wrong.

There's a three letter word, that's all you need.
It will help you in ways you never dreamed of.
Most know, most see, and most turn away.

They turn away from God.
